Based in the heart of Cody, Wyoming, Kane Morris brings over 25 years of design and building expertise to Evergreen Dwellings. Here, he leads the design department, focusing on deeply responsive, site-specific architecture. He begins every project by studying sun, wind, views, and surroundings—designing spaces that work harmoniously with nature while maximizing comfort, beauty, and livability.

A lifelong Wyomingite and passionate creator, Kane is driven by a love for high-quality, functional architecture that honors both the environment and the people who live in it. His rare blend of architectural vision and hands-on construction experience gives him an exceptional edge—he doesn’t just dream up spaces, he knows how to bring them to life from the ground up.

Kane leads with curiosity and collaboration. He’s passionate about listening to each client’s unique story and helping them shape spaces that reflect their lifestyle, values, and dreams. Whether he’s sketching the first concept or coordinating the final build, Kane is deeply committed to delivering thoughtful, efficient, and beautiful results, on time and within budget.

A proud graduate of Montana State University, Kane holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture. Before joining Evergreen Dwellings, he co-founded Point Architects in 2004. He has been a driving force in shaping the built landscape of rural Wyoming and beyond ever since.

Kane’s deep roots in Wyoming fuel his commitment to community. He’s a 2018 graduate of Leadership Wyoming and has served on the Powell Economic Partnership Advisory Board & Steering Committee and the Heart Mountain United Soccer Association Board.

Outside of work, you’ll find Kane enjoying time with his wife, Tracy, and cheering on their adult children as they explore life’s adventures.

Marco Lopez Thornborrow | Director of Design

Born and raised in Heredia, Costa Rica, and now based in Boise, Idaho, Marco Lopez Thornborrow brings a dynamic global perspective and nearly a decade of architectural experience to his role as Director of Design at Evergreen Dwellings. Here, he is designing spaces that are as bold and layered as the families within, always pushing boundaries to create lasting value.

A licensed architect in Costa Rica and currently pursuing his American certification through NCARB, Marco blends creative energy with technical precision in every project he touches.

Marco’s design style is eclectic, intentional, and always evolving. He’s guided by the principle that form follows function, but he’s not afraid to push boundaries. Whether working on a modern steel-and-glass residence with a courtyard bridge in the Wyoming landscape or a nature-inspired passive home, Marco’s goal is always the same: to create spaces that feel deeply comfortable, beautifully tailored, and alive with purpose.

Prior to joining Evergreen Dwellings, Marco spent ten years with Point Architects, where he produced stunning designs for clients across the western U.S., collaborating on residential and commercial designs that unite style with sustainability. He’s fluent in CAD-assisted design and known for his meticulous attention to detail through every phase—from concept sketches to building permits.

What makes Marco stand out is his ability to truly listen. He sees each project as a conversation between the client’s aspirations and the architecture itself. His talent lies in translating dreams into structure—sometimes nudging clients beyond their comfort zones to create something entirely unexpected and deeply personal.

Marco’s academic foundation includes a Licentiate in Architecture and Urban Development from the esteemed Latin University of Costa Rica. Beyond the drafting table, he embraces life as a devoted family man and an enthusiastic adventurer, readily found snowboarding down slopes, carving waves, shaping sculptures, and exploring the majestic mountains alongside his wife, children, and their cherished canine companion.
