Here, he leads the design department, focusing on deeply responsive, site-specific architecture. He begins every project by studying sun, wind, views, and surroundings—designing spaces that work harmoniously with nature while maximizing comfort, beauty, and livability.

Born and raised in Heredia, Costa Rica, and now based in Boise, Idaho, Marco Lopez Thornborrow brings a dynamic global perspective and nearly a decade of architectural experience to his role as Director of Design at Evergreen Dwellings. Here, he is designing spaces that are as bold and layered as the families within, always pushing boundaries to create lasting value.
